Soap is made by combining tallow, which lends an incredibly moisturizing and creamy component to the soap, and 100% sodium hydroxide for its purity and safety, coconut oil, goat milk, and eggs from free range flock.  Organic coconut oil is used to create an awesome lather. We never used genetically modified oils such as canola or soybean oil, nor do we use controversial palm oil due to the devastating affects of deforestation. All soap is made with lye. There is no such thing as lye-free soap. Any "soap" without lye is actually a synthetic detergent, and we don't do anything synthetic at Pekin Hill Soap Works. You won't find perfumes, dyes, or lab created micas in any of our products. Only natural clays, herbs, roots, and flowers. 100% pure essential oils are used to scent soaps.
